SUMMARY:John Soane - Grand Master’s Lodge No. 1
DESCRIPTION:Explore Sir John Soane’s House: A Treasure of Regency Architecture\nStep into the world of Sir John Soane (1753–1837)\, one of the foremost architects of the Regency period and a proud Freemason. SUMMARY:Chiswick House and Gardens
DESCRIPTION:Chiswick House\, built between 1726 and 1729 is one of the earliest and most important neo-Palladian villas in England. \nThe third Earl of Burlington (1694–1753)\, the ‘architect earl’\, designed the elegant classical villa seen today\, drawing inspiration from his Grand Tours of Italy and with advice from his collaborator\, the painter\, architect and garden designer William Kent. The villa reflected the influence of the Italian architect Andrea Palladio and his English follower Inigo Jones\, and its ‘neo-Palladian’ style soon spread across Europe and America.
