On 25 May 2024, Kent Club members gathered in Whitechapel for a guided tour led by Worshipful Brother Mike Neville, retired Scotland Yard detective and published author. The evening explored one of history’s most notorious cases — the Jack the Ripper murders — and the possible Masonic connections surrounding them.
Exploring the Dark Streets of Whitechapel
Members retraced the paths once walked by the Ripper, hearing chilling accounts of the crimes that terrorised London in 1888. Along the way, Brother Neville highlighted theories of Masonic involvement, drawing attention to the links between suspects, Scotland Yard, doctors, pathologists, and the mysterious letters signed “Jack.”

With his background in both policing and Masonic research, Brother Neville provided a rare and thought-provoking insight into the case. The tour blended history, speculation, and symbolism, making it a captivating experience for Masons and non-Masons alike.

Following the tour, members and guests continued their discussions over a Brick Lane curry, sharing views and theories in good company.
