House of Commons
On Thursday, 12th June, members of the Kent Club, together with their families and guests, gathered for the President’s Dinner in the prestigious surroundings of the House of Commons.
Following arrival through the historic Palace of Westminster and a drinks reception in Westminster Hall, guests proceeded to the elegant Private Members’ Dining Room for an excellent dinner in the company of friends old and new. The evening was enhanced by the ceremonial music and trumpet fanfare provided by the London Assemble, creating a fitting atmosphere for this distinguished occasion.
The Guest of Honour was the Metropolitan Grand Master, RW Bro Warren Duke, attending in his capacity as President of the Kent Club. In his address, he reflected on the importance of the Club, its traditions, and the enduring friendships it continues to foster, praising the warmth and conviviality that characterised the evening.
Following the President’s address, the Chairman of the Kent Club, WBro Jason Read, responded with a speech thanking the Metropolitan Grand Master for his continued support and expressing his appreciation to everyone whose efforts contributed to such a successful and enjoyable evening.
The evening concluded with guests gathering in the bar to continue conversations before departing after a thoroughly memorable occasion. The President’s Dinner once again demonstrated the strength of the Kent Club’s traditions and the value of bringing together members, families and friends in one of the nation’s most iconic settings.
Our sincere thanks go to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a resounding success. We look forward to many more occasions that continue to strengthen the friendships and connections at the heart of the Kent Club.
